The NFL is now on YouTube and Google Search
Monday, January 26, 2015
Every year you’ve
searched for “NFL”
on Google Search and YouTube more and more, and now, we can scream like the loudest, body-painted fan: GAME ON!
It’s pretty simple: On any screen you watch YouTube,
NFL’s YouTube channel
will bring you the sights and sounds this week in Arizona, from pre-game analysis to the highlights that everyone will be talking about. After the Super Bowl, don’t let the worst Monday of the year get you down. NFL’s YouTube channel will post more videos all through the offseason.
And when the 2015-2016 season kicks off, you can get right back to watching more “no way he caught that” plays from Odell Beckham Jr., more “no way he completed that” throws from Aaron Rodgers, and analysts telling you which players on the Patriots can boost your fantasy football score. And you can find it all instantly, just with a simple
Google search
for any team.
We’re thrilled to hit the gridiron with you for Pats-Seahawks, and for all the excitement in the season to come. Enjoy the game on Sunday.

Catch the big ads from the Big Game all month long
Friday, January 16, 2015
The YouTube AdBlitz is back, which means that the Super Bowl ad season is officially underway. Last year, you watched more than 6.3 million hours' worth of Super Bowl ads on YouTube. That's enough time for you to fly from Phoenix to the moon and back 87,500 times, watch every NFL game in history 138 times, or listen to Katy Perry's "Roar" 84M times. In other words ... there are a lot of you who watch football for the ads!
The
cutest puppy in history
,
British villains driving sports cars
, and
iconic music sensations
were some of the big winners on YouTube AdBlitz last year. Will there be new contenders this year, or will the powerhouses reign supreme?
Here’s the full rundown of what you’ll find on this year’s
AdBlitz channel
:
Teasers
: Super Bowl ads were watched more than 160M times on YouTube before last year’s game even began. Commercials that were released on YouTube before they aired during the game drove approximately 2.5X more views on average than commercials that were released on game day. Once again, YouTube will host a teaser gallery where people can watch advertiser submitted pregame ads all in one place.
Game Day Commercials
: You’ll also find all the advertiser-submitted game-day commercials on our YouTube AdBlitz channel uploaded as soon as the ad is aired on TV.
YouTube Halftime Show
: For the first time, YouTube will host a Halftime Show produced in collaboration with Collective Digital Studio that will be live streamed on the AdBlitz Channel. Filmed at the YouTube Space in L.A., the show will feature more than 20 YouTube creators and musicians with over 60M combined subscribers including Harley Morenstein from EpicMealTime, Freddie Wong, Rhett and Link, Toby Turner and more.
Postgame Gallery
: This year, we’re introducing a postgame content gallery where advertisers can continue the conversation with their audience by providing follow-on or behind-the-scenes footage of their Super Bowl spot.
Postgame Voting
: Don’t forget to have your say on your favorite Super Bowl ad. After the game ends, visit the AdBlitz channel to vote for and share your favorite Super Bowl commercials. You’ll have until 11:59 p.m. ET on February 9 to cast your vote.
For the next month, YouTube is your go-to destination for all your Super Bowl ads entertainment. Visit
youtube.com/adblitz
from your smartphone, tablet or desktop to watch, share and vote for your favorite spots this season.

YouTube Creators interview President Obama following the State of the Union
Thursday, January 15, 2015
Cross-posted from the
Google Blog
Every year since 2010
, President Obama has turned to YouTube and Google after his State of the Union speech to answer questions that are top of mind for the American people. Asked through YouTube video submissions or live via Google+ Hangouts, these questions always bring an interesting perspective to the issues the president addresses in his speech. This year we’re doing something we’ve never done before: bringing a handful of YouTube creators directly to the White House to talk with the president in person in a live broadcast on Thursday, January 22.
YouTube creators
Bethany Mota
,
GloZell Green
and
Hank Green
will interview President Obama about the top concerns facing them and their audiences. Over the next few days, the creators will ask you to share the questions you have for the president, some of which may be asked during the interview. In years past, people across the United States have used this interview to ask important questions about jobs, immigration and even
Valentine’s Day
. Use #YouTubeAsksObama on social media to suggest issues that are important to you or any questions that are on your mind.
Finally, don’t forget to tune in on January 20 at 9 p.m. EST to watch the
State of the Union address
, as well as the
Republican response
, live on YouTube.
