Today is a Fairytale: Taylor Swift takes your questions on YouTube

Kamis, 25 Agustus 2011

From "Tim McGraw" to "Sparks Fly," Taylor Swift has won over fans worldwide with her vocal talent and songwriting skills. In addition to a tremendous fan following, Swift has racked up four Grammys, six CMT Music Awards, thirteen Teen Choice Awards and even the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year award, joning the likes of Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and The Dixie Chicks. And now she takes your questions on YouTube!

Ever wonder what it’s like to become a major pop star before you’re out of high school -- on the strength of your own songs? Whether you’re cheer captain or on the bleachers, Taylor wants to hear from you and she’s agreed to be fearless in answering!

Starting today, submit written or video queries on Taylor Swift’s channel, and she’ll answer the most popular ones as part of our YouTube Presents program. You have until noon on August 31 to submit your questions and vote on the ones you’d most like to see her answer.

YouTube Presents is an ongoing program dedicated to bringing you live performances and interviews with your favorite artists. Upcoming YouTube Presents events will include artist interviews (with questions provided by the YouTube community), intimate performances at the YouTube offices, and live streams of music festivals.

Stay tuned for more YouTube Presents sessions this fall -- and watch the homepage to see Taylor’s Q&A, which we’ll post as soon as it’s uploaded.

Join the birthday salute to John Lennon

Sabtu, 09 Oktober 2010

Today we join Yoko Ono in asking fans around the world to upload video tributes to John Lennon on what would have been his 70th birthday.

If you have memories to share of this legendary member of the Beatles and his music, upload a video to www.youtube.com/johnlennon and you’ll join a global chorus that includes Aerosmith, Jeff Bridges, Jonas Brothers, Ringo Starr, and YouTube Community members like Goh Nakamura and DJ Mike Relm.

As part of today’s celebration, you may have noticed a special YouTube logo that’s being featured in 24 different countries highlighting the artist’s famous self-portrait. This unique artwork is also part of a birthday video that you can find at www.google.com. It’s the very first time that a YouTube video has been embedded into a one-of-a-kind Google Doodle — read a message from artist who created it here.
“Spread Peace. Imagine Peace.” is how Yoko suggests you celebrate the day, along with sharing your video tribute with the world.

Did she really kiss a girl? Ask Katy Perry a question!

Kamis, 08 Juli 2010

Perhaps you’ve seen Katy Perry kissing girls, waking up in Vegas or parodied by the YouTube community. More recently, she’s been spotted cavorting with hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg (along with life-size Gummy Bears and multi-striped snakes) in her latest “California Gurls” clip.
Well, now she’s putting that day-glo fantasy life on hold to answer your questions:

You have until midnight PT on July 18 to submit a video or text question to Katy’s channel (www.youtube.com/katyperry). Everyone will be able to vote on the questions until July 18, and Katy will answer the most popular in an exclusive Q&A as conducted by YouTube’s own Lisa Nova. We’ll put the interview on the homepage shortly after it’s edited and uploaded to YouTube.
Fire away!
