you may think you're listening to tubers, but there's still one thing you haven't done after all these years of us asking you. And that is: CREATE AN ART CATEGORY!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! For god's sake, it makes perfect sense. Doesn't it?!?

I am sick of Youtube and its incessant advertising. I've never seen an advert that has appealed to me, and I frequently come across comments complaining about the site's endless insignificant commercials. Plenty of ads that pop up at the side of the page lead to unreliable websites and display no relevance to anything else on screen. I watched a dull video response from you whereby you chose to answer the question 'Youtube has been taken over by advertisements and stuff. Don't you think that's kind of pointless?' It's brilliant of you to choose to answer such an eloquently worded question, and in doing so patronise everyone who is frustrated with ads being forced down their throats. Your charismatic talking head responded by explaining how much of the revenue received by ad makers is reinvested into producing video content. Earlier I saw an advert telling me I have received a friend invite from Jennifer, and that Jennifer wanted to meet me. So far, I haven't seen Jennifer dedicate any of her capital into developing video content, but I suppose I should be patient. No doubt whatever she's working on is life-changing. It's frankly insulting that you now force viewers to watch up to 30 seconds of ads that they might accidentally click on before they can watch what they came here to watch. Youtube's format is great and it's becoming corrupt. At the moment, it's merely a frustrating inconvenience, but this force feeding could ultimately be the website's downfall. Listen to your users.

serous?! the new channels are ugly and they are NOT! user friendly in anyway... what happened to the YouTube we all know! with all the user friendly features you had once upon a time! like the "Add/remove Modules" homepage, you have taken that away... the ability to rate videos 1-5 stars, you also taken away! the user friendly interface before 2010 also been taken away! now our channels! they only sense of "freedom" left on the site will be taken away on march 7th!... YouTube has taken away "You" from youtube... its all about the people that give u money now! the new channels only benefit the popular channels and not the rest of the community the whole website is 101% useless as a "normal" user!... march 7th im out of here! me and millions of other people will put our videos elsewhere! where the community actually matters! i think i made my point...

What is missing from the new channel is the ability to add a video URL as a featured video.

The channel profile information should be moved to an "About" or "About me" tab so that the profile information is in one central location.
This also frees up space for other content on the channel.

Oh come on. The new channel look isn't better at all! What's more, you know that. I can't make my page transparent, I can't even change it's colour, I can't see my hit count any more on my front page, I can't see my channel comments on the front page, and I can't move the order of things around. Why have you pissed about with what was almost perfect? You've ruined it, and you've ruined the experience for thousands of 'ordinary' users like me, who want to hook up and keep in contact with friends. It's rubbish. Just stop buggering about, get off your own back-slapping soap boxes, and put it back how it was. What drugs are you on?

I want my "friends" buttons back please! I Have friends that I want to know what their watching and then I have subscriptions that I want to know have updated...I do not necessarily want to know every little video liked or favorited by someone I'm subscribed to. I want to know when new content is up on their Chanel...I do not want to pry into their social life. PLEASE! Please bring back friends!

I have stopped using youtube because the new channel design completely eliminated my only reason for having a channel and using youtube at all: To list the videos I wanted to share with my three year old and not have any 'suggestions' he could click on that were not put into the channel by me. This feature was my only reason for using youtube and I will not use youtube at all unless this feature returns (and by then I'll probably be too used to whatever I've replaced it with). The 'Safety Mode' is not a solution because it is a joke: you really think keeping browser cookies around nowadays is in line with being safe on the internet?? I do not allow cookies to be saved on my computer and I never will.

I also think it's very sad that YouTube ignored the overwhelming response against the new channel layout.

One concern of mine - I've spent lots of money promoting my videos on Youtube. But since the new layout was enacted, any sort of feedback on those videos has plummeted. Then I noticed that Likes, Dislikes and Comments were removed from the promoted video. Until this changes, I will not spend any more money promoting my videos. Please consider changing this back so that those of us who promote know how our audience feels about our videos! Thanks! - Pete

youtube, before the new channel was updated and even after, people are still saying that they didn't like the new channel and it is actually harder to find your way around. the old channel had more, and there was much more than just a "featured tab". we could post events, tell people about other channels, people could instantly messege the other, the description box of us was able to put in all the info we needed, And there was a little search bar for the channel user's videos. this new channel has very few components and the only thing you can think about it the layout? honestly the layouts do nothing but put playlist in different spot. the activity page is also unneccessary because of the acticity we see shared on the home page, the comments page shouldn't be there either since no one is going to spen all their time on youtube looking at comments. With the old design, i felt as though you could make your channel look more original since hey this is your channel! now everyone has the same plain gray page showing with few colors in the background. That makes all the channels just so less interesting. i was always on youtube back then looking at peoples channels because i like to see what they did with it. and it was easy to look through. now the new page is so difficult and boring, i dont even waste time clicking it because i know what i'm hoing to be looking at. that shouldnt be. and honestly the reason i am typing so much is to encourage other users to rant about this because, the messege that us youtube users don't want this channel has to get to you one way or the other! because i think you lie when you say you have someone to read the comments because if that was the case, then you wouldnt have changed the channel and left it alone! i am very upset with you youtube because still up to this day, people still complain about the channels looks and you never reply back in a video or anything to let us know that you have read the comments or any updates because somewhat i feel as though commenting is a waste of time! but i feel as though someone will read this and start a rampage and if no one doesnt, then i will try my best to spread this messege through the internet because youtube is one of the only place where we can watch all the video's we want and get the best results first but when we want info, its so harder to get on this new channel. in the "about me" section, there is no way to organize it. you just write and save. i am very dissappointed in you youtube and i hope that you read this. thank you anyway though for the other updates around the website thoug. those updates look a bit upgraded and better and not a simple. couldnt leave this messege all bad. i have been a user for a while and i still use the website. much love from breonna but still, CHANGE THE CHANNEL BACK!

I agree with the guy that said you took the You out of YouTube. I just tried to arrange my favorites only to find that's no longer an option. Featuring videos that aren't my upload is something I don't do anymore because that was not an option either... I understand you brought that back in a new cumbersome fashion. Why are you messing with a good thing? Catering to the corporates? Removing options instead of adding them. Not what the channel was built on. You've lost a supporter in me. Maybe a boycott would wake these folks up and bring back the older and better system.

Us Youtubers are honestly REALLy tired of change. We are sick of getting crappy new layouts that make it "easier" to find your way around Youtube. I think it could be cool if instead, you have a user channel (a channel that is plain and just for people that browse youtube) and a creator channel (for people that upload videos). You can change the layout on the user channel to help them browse youtube easier, but update the creator channel to where uploaders can be more creative. Get my drift? Very few creators want a plain white background.

    I hate this!!!
I tried making a new youtube channel and you can't see my background? all you can see is this stupid "channel art" crap, and I don't know how to work it to see my background and not that stupid stuff.
I hate the new looks! I miss the old ones!
