I don't think it really does. I think that videos should be available for everyone. If we make the quality so good, people with lower end computers couldn't watch it. My laptop can't even watch HD without stuttering and slow frames(or whatever you call it). That's just what I'm thinking. I'm not all for quality.
I would say that making a web video is a very promising thing. Totally agree that the main problem is that there are few production companies, and filmmakers who can make quality movies at a reasonable price. Today's audiences are very demanding, you must provide them with a perfect job, and every tiny chybyčka is severely punished. Caused the advent of new technologies such as large high-definition TV, 3D screens and more. Meanwhile a lot of people in top management of companies do not realize how great is the power of Web video, along with communication for social networks Facebook. The Czech Republic is no longer effective to invest in text advertisements. (Magazines, billboards, flyers) People are tired of a flood of leaflets, brochures and advertising that is bombarded at every corner. They must persist and convince them of their future on youtube. Arguments why make videos on youtube a lot. I attempt to do so for almost a year and it starts working.
When I started out on YouTube in November 2008, I started out at 320 x 240 video. The reason why is because I did not have the computer space (or the confidence) to release larger-size videos. It wasn't until about the middle of 2009 that I started doing 640 x 480 videos. To me, I was a person about content quality rather than image quality. I don't have the talent or charisma to do HD videos all the time. Even at the expense of not getting as many views or support from the YouTube public, YouTube is more about expressing yourself however you can the best way you can. I think more seem to care about Hollywood or television-quality videos than just simply expressing yourself any way you can. Therefore, I don't care if my material is Hollywood-quality material or not. Making videos and making points are more important to me than coming up with anything postmodern. I am basically a blogger and vlogger; I am NOT any kind of professional film person.
Of course... that's just my opinion. Quality in content matters more to me than quality in images and videos, though better image quality helps.
I like how anything is accepted and a community decides if it's good or bad. Awfully produced content can still be awesome.
