And now for a real comment...

Why did you pay for this hack coding? This is literally kindergarten web design. I used to know 13 year old's a decade ago that could make this in there spare time and you actually paid real money for it.

Anyway I'll end this by being the one millionth user to say your new design is ugly and less user-friendly then anything ever conceived before it. Way to listen to us, keep up the good work!

Why did you have to force it on everybody? The new channel design is terrible.

What do you have against people who want to fine tune and customize their channels to their liking?

What's with this "modern" and monotone user interface? It's too simplified, dumbed down and boring. It should be optional.

The ages old argument of "why change something that isn't broken" ?

These new profiles suck and you should feel bad about them. Just because subscriptions and channel visits have gone up since December 2011 doesn't mean anything. Are you aware the old profile design was still an option for users until about a week ago? You people are stupid.

"On the topic of features — a big thank you for all your feedback that we’ve incorporated over the past six months."

More like a big screw you for suggesting anything to us because we never listen to the user and haven't incorporated anything they've asked for.

This change has made it annoying to view a playlist. I can no longer easily view videos in a playlist out of order. Before I could click any video in the playlist sidebar and view it in the main window without reloading the page. Now I must jump back and forth between pages, each irritatingly slow the load. Even if I am lucky and the other playlist videos show up in the "related videos" sidebar (not always true), clicking one still loads a new page.

This change has made Youtube exceedingly irritating. The ability to view playlist entries out of order was clearly too useful to allow and reduced page hits too much. I can think of no other explanation for why this highly useful function has been removed, except to force me to load and reload pages over and over to increase the hitcount for advertising purposes.

We want the old design back! The grey is omnipresent... and you have taken away our ability to customize our channels. The new design is terrible, you have to load three pages just to get to the channel comments. Now who is going to read them?

I must beg your pardon, but I loathe the new channel designs. In my capacity as a YouTube user, I have not heard ONE person who is happy with what you have done. My channel just died, and YouTube has become like a Ghost town. Huge adverts were tacked onto all my videos that had big views. I am sorry, but you are not making money off my videos, if I am not happy with this lousy changeover. I took my channel offline and it will stay off line until, you change us back to the way WE like things. I lost 41 subscribers in ONE DAY. Many of them simply closed down their accounts. You have created a war, and you have to put your own comments on your promotion videos up for approval. That is so funny. They must be roasting you. If I was you, I'd simply change it all back. I, for one, would like ALL my comments back, if you don't mind. My account is in good standing. I have never tried to buck the system, but you will NOT make money off my videos under the current circumstances.

With all that being said, could you at least be fair about this and give users the option to use both the old layout and the new one? Every other change you've made thumb up/thumbs down rating and the autoplay box at the bottom of the screen were met with hostility at first but it didn't change the way people watch videos and it most certainly didn't change the uniqueness or customization of their channel.

People became accustomed with these changes but the changes to their channel are very personal. I come to youtube for the community, and I feel my channel expresses a part of my personality. The things I enjoy the most are a part of my favorites section and the people I subscribe to. Now all the channels look basically the same. Please give us the 'revert to old layout' option we had before.

I have deleted my YouTube channel out of principle. I don't care if they FINALLY ended up changing the design back, the fact is YouTube have not listened to the very people that are the reason for the site being created. I have absolutely no interest in using such an ugly, useless, commercial and disgustingly bland piece of crap excuse for a video community created by a company which has now become purely fuelled by greed and profit.

Well done Google! A worm could run an organisation better than you!

    It sucks!

The right hand scroll pane with the videos on the side, where you could search for and easily click on a video and watch it without reloading the page has now gone. That was probably the best feature on YouTube.

When you land on the user's channel, the default tab is usually 'Feed'. Why would I care what some other random YouTube user has been doing? This is not Facebook. The uploaded video thumbnails are HUGE! Why do they have to be so big? It makes looking for videos extremely cumbersome and only shows 10 videos at a time!

The lack of color is just plain ridiculous. I seriously can not get over how ugly that bland black and gray color scheme is. It makes me feel depressed!

In summary, the general channel layout is ugly, unintuitive and frustrating to use. I think you hired the wrong designer!

like it a little but you still should allow the public to choose from this look or the old look like ign they did not like the new look and they have over 1 billion views for there channel and because of the new look a lot of my Favorited videos are now not working so i like the old look better and wish youtube will address this

The new Youtube Design sucks! Its really frustrating and took out so many things. I liked the old Youtube Design much better because it is simple, and shows everything in one place like the comments, the video, and etc. I really loved the old design better.

Plus, howd do you delete your subscribers?

There is nothing personal about this... yeah you can change a background but what about the colours and the transparency. Now only partners can customise with their banner at the top. Your using us to make money YouTube, you may as well respect us at the same time and let us customise. Don't downground, give us back those old features. Now.

there is no use. this is google
    1. we will never change back to any older software, we will make everyone suffer until we make an even shittier design.
    2. all we care about is money.
    3. we will lie and cheat our way to make poular youtube channels to shut down, therefore we take all the money they have in their adsense account
    4. the users can do nothing about it because they know that no matter how bad we make youtube, we will never stop using it, unless someone has lots of willpower. they will hang on to the hope that we will switch back, and stay until we make a worse one.

This new design is the worst. I can't arrange any of my videos the way I want them. I linked my channel to my website so people who are interested in my website can see videos intended for it. Now I have to remove youtube from my website because people can't find the videos intended for it. This is worse than timeline used on facebook but at least they didn't force me to use it. Come on, get it together youtube, I want the old layout back so I can set it up the way I want it.

"You wanted the ability to feature content prominently" yet:
    - you changed the layout so that the video we want to feature (the only reason I ever post a link to my channel) is no longer the default video when visiting a channel
    - you removed the top, sorted favourites, replacing it with a massive favourites playlist sorted by time
    - content is now on separate tabs instead of all on one screen, effectively hiding content from easy viewing
    - channels no longer display user info

In short, the changes are entirely contrary to "featuring content prominently".

Specific content aside, though smartphone users may appreciate the new layout, it is certainly counter productive for computer users which are surely still the largest user demographic.

This new channel is a disaster. There enough white space to make you need sunglasses and the arrangement does nothing but make it impossible for people to understand your content. This is just a mess. We don't want Google+ and all the pain in the ass crap that comes along with it. Combining two poorly designed services does not make a good platform. Yikes. I don't want all the extra crap on the side menus. No one even looks at that stuff. My "suggested" channels are always WAY off course with what I watch as well. God, please fix some tech problems before you go trashing the entire site. Someone needs to open a new site based on the old participates of YouTube. This crap is really getting old.

the playlists DON'T work. I used to put them on full screen then sit back and watch. They would play through all the videos to the end then stop ( I didn't have to use that autoplay button because it is strictly for psychos. Who would want a playlist that goes round and round in an endless loop??). Now , since the last major change, this doesn't work ! One video plays and then it stops. Can we PLEASE have it back the way it was?
