Now let us have one identity in reverse, by letting us use only our YouTube name on G+ Profiles.

Great! I have a YT channel already, would love to merge it even further with G+. Keep up the good work!

Trevor, I already have a YouTube channel which I've used to assist my wife in putting up lessons for her AP Macro and Microeconomics courses. Will creating a new channel linked to my G+ profile create a problem (and is that something this means I can do)? I'd like to be able to use youtube to video blog on G+, but I don't want to clutter up her subscribers (because let's face it, it's my account but they're her subs) with my nattering.

Very happy this happened. However, when I go to create a new channel on YouTube (I have no channel currently, but I am signed in using my Google+ id) I do not get this screen. I believe I get the legacy "Enter a username" screen (and not even the one shown in this post, basically just a text box).

How do I get this then? I love this integration, but I'm not getting it :(

When will Google Plus stop banning people for having pseudonymns?

My YouTube account is already connected to my Google account (pre Google+). However my userid continues to be my original YouTube ID which is different from my Google account ID. Is there anyway I can convert my channel's ID to my Google account ID?

You probably mean to use "+1" a video, not "Like" at this point... because... you're not Facebook. ;)

Never mind all this! I don't want another account. I already have my Google account linked to my Youtube account.

What I have been waiting years for is for you to allow me to simply change my obsolete Youtube account name from 2009 (that domain no longer exists) to my Google name - simples!

Removing the dislike button is a huge mistake, as is forcing people to "+1" to like

are you serious? are you serious? i had to "upgrade" my youtube account just to be able to like a video.
let me tell you something, i never wanted a google+ account or to link any of my accounts to google+!
with this changed i was practically forced to "connect" to google+, which is insane!
i never complain for changes but this goes too far. it's a mistake. plus, now not even content creators can tell what people like and dislike because you removed the damn "like-dislike" buttons!
please! please stick to one rating system for videos and stop merging everything with google in one way or another.
btw, to even leave this comment i had to "make" a blogger account... really? no access to the average youtube audience. good for you people...

I hope you can link your existing YouTube account to Google+. I don't want to start from scratch.

I'm a little disappointed. I would have thought that long-time users may have the ability BEFORE any new user can get it.

It's almost describing how Google treats their loyal customers. I'm experiencing it over and over. :(

How do I turn this off? I don't want to see the videos of Google+ contacts in my front page of Youtube.

I'm not very happy with the idea of having my youtube completely linked. Aslong as I can still use the products how they benefit me the best then the changes look good.

In regards to the G+ button on vids though I don't want to only have one option choice. Many of the content creators that I view and support rely on a positive/negative feedback to be able to see if they need to adjust, change up content, ect. Implementing the new button I wouldn't use it as where it's a feels to much like a social sharing in a network that I don't use. I feel that the impact on content creators would be significant.

I have a Google Channel already but I really would LOVE to change it to my Google Profile instead. I'm sorry I ever picked my previous YouTube ID... but cannot find a way to change it. Sure would love to though.

Is it possible to convert an old YouTube account into a brand page that can be managed by our team? We're an indie record label, and often have 3-4 people who need to post videos to our main channel, or specific promos to artist channels, etc. It's a huge mess right now, because everything is tied to someone's personal account, and no one wants to give out their password, because that would be stupid. Don't you think?
