The new YouTube design looks nice, but the new channel design is atrocious. It is merely a big, ugly gray cube that we can't customize to be the color we want, nor change the transparency of so that our lovely backgrounds will show. I also no longer see a way to add or remove friends or know who's on my friend's list.

I HATE the new channel layout, why are you tinkering with something that works????? It ugly, it's useless, I cannot find a way to add/remove friends, block someone, etc. Sure, I can see that someone "favorited" a video in the activity log, but I don't see the favorite videos, featured video, playlists, etc. By default when I first come to channel there are two tabs - activity and videos (that shows uploaded videos). Many people don't upload, I want to see favorites too. Past activity isn't as important as the result of this activity. Easy ability to add friends or block someone is important.

WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU CHANGING SOMETHING THAT WORKS? JOB SECURITY?

'If you can’t be the Channel that uploads great videos, you can be the Channel that finds great videos!'
I'm sorry?? There won't be any user channels in the new design. Yes of course, they are still there, but they are worthless. YOU CAN'T SEE VIDS ON CHANNELS ANYMORE - except the featured one. COLLECTOR CHANNELS (the ones that 'finds great videos') will suffer the most from the new layout: you may have put great effort in finding vids & building a selection of art, science, fun or whatever, THE MOMENT A SUBSCRIBER CLICKS ON YOUR FAVS, HE'S ALREADY GONE TO THE VIDEO PAGE WHERE ONLY THE UPLOADERS ARE SEEN (and some nondescript playlist which vaguely reminiscents the great channel you came from).
THIS IS DECEIT. THIS IS A LIE. Every single adjustment to the old layout is aimed at PREVENTING VIEWERS TO GET ON USER CHANNELS IN THE FIRST PLACE & WHEN THEY DO, TO GET THEM AWAY FROM THERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
    Shame on you
